Ellenville man arrested for sexual contact with a minor

The New York State Police at Ellenville announce the arrest of Christopher Haight, a 23 year old from Ellenville, New York for Criminal Sexual Act in the Third Degree, a Felony, Forcible Touching a misdemeanor, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a misdemeanor.

The New York State Police recieved information that a 23 year old male was having sex with a 15 year old female at a residence in Ellenville. The investigation revealed that Christopher Haight had engaged in oral sex with a 15 year old female.  Christopher Haight had been involved in a relationship with the victim for approximately 3 weeks prior to the sexual incident.

Christopher Haight was arrested and processed at SP Ellenville.  Haight was arraigned in the Village of Ellenville Court in front of Village Justice Harvey Levine and was remanded to the Ulster County Jail on $ 2,000 cash bail or $ 4,000 bond.  Haight is to re-appear in the Town of Wawarsing Court on Friday, August 7, 2015 at 8:30 AM.
