Monticello man charged with stealing unemployment benefits

The State Police at SP Wurtsboro announce the arrest of Ryan M. Donald, age 32, of Monticello NY for Grand Larceny 3rd and Falsifying Business Records 1st, both felonies.
This arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the State Police and the NYS Department of Labor Investigation Section wherein it is alleged that between October of 2011 and July of 2012, Ryan Donald did falsify the business records of the Dept. of Labor and did, thereby, falsely receive unemployment benefits totaling in excess of fifteen thousand dollars that he was not entitled to receive.
Donald was arraigned before Town of Mamakating Town Justice Cynthia Dolan who committed him to the Sullivan County Jail on $15,000 bail. Donald is scheduled to appear in the Town of Mamakating Court on 07/28/15 at 10:00am.
