Yonkers man charged with drug possession following traffic stop

PRESS RELEASE 

North Castle, New York – On July 19, 2015, New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Somers barracks arrested Brett M. Gregory, 29 years old, of Yonkers, New York, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th Degree, a Class C Felony, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, a Violation.

Troopers stopped the vehicle Gregory was operating on Interstate 684 for traveling in excess of 100 miles per hour in a posted 65 mile per hour zone.  Following an investigation conducted with the assistance of State Police canine “Lexy”, Gregory was found to possess approximately 15 grams of cocaine, approximately 2.2 grams of oxycodone pills, and approximately 2.8 grams of marihuana.

Gregory was arraigned before the Town of Somers Court and released on his own recognizance.  He is scheduled to re-appear in Somers Court on July 28, 2015 at 5:00 p.m.
