Claverack man charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated

Ghent, New York – On July 18, 2015, New York State Police from the Livingston barracks arrested Steven C. Hoose, 46 years old, of Claverack, New York, for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor.

Troopers were dispatched by Columbia County 911 to be on the lookout for an erratically operated vehicle.  The arresting officer witnessed the vehicle failing to maintain its lane of travel, and conducted a traffic stop on State Route 9H.  The driver, identified as Hoose, was intoxicated at the time of the stop.

Hoose provided a positive breath sample that yielded a Blood Alcohol Content of .29% and was issued traffic tickets directing him to appear before the Town of Ghent Court on August 3, 2015.
