Obituary, Gordon A. Cluckie

Gordon A. Cluckie, 45, a resident of Pawling since 2007 after living in England for 10 years, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2015 At Montrose VA Hospital.

Born in Flushing, NY on September 27, 1969, he was the son of the late Robert Cluckie and Diana Marcello of Pawling. Gordon served in the US Army in the first Desert Storm, 2 years active Reserve in Europe, and 4 years inactive reserve. Since 2007, he worked at Pawling High School, Taconic DDSO, and as a stock handler for NYCT/MABSTOA-Div.

Gordon was an avid fan of soccer, the NY Rangers, and the NY Mets. He also loved playing his guitar.

In addition to his mother, Gordon is survived by his two brothers, Bruce (Dawn) Cluckie of Conakry, Guinea and Colin Cluckie of Pawling; three sisters, Rene (Bobby) Rogers of Pawling, Linda Walters (Steve) of Chestertown, NY, and Karen (Johnny) Agostini of Amenia; his nine nieces and nephews, Heather, Brian, and Erin Rogers, Justin and Kayla Agostini, Erin, Allison, and Adam Cluckie, and Justin Mitnick He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, stateside and in England and Wales.

In addition to his father, Gordon is predeceased by his brother Brian, and his grandparents.

Memorial visitation will be held on Monday, July 20th from 2-4 PM at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, with a funeral service to be conducted at the funeral home at 3:30 PM, starting with a military presentation at 3:15 PM.

The family would like to express their appreciation and thanks to the medical staff and nurses at Castle Point and Montrose VA hospitals for the excellent care they provided to Gordon in these last 8 months.
