Planning for a fun summer weekend?

This weekend is the Shandaken Art Studio Tour weekend beginning Friday night – check the webpage for full details on locations and events.

Out in Phoenicia on Saturday night, Flying Cat Music presents Matt Harlan in Concert – fresh from a European tour where Matt’s Texas-tinged Folk Roots sound has earned him a loyal following. Empire State Railway Museum – 7:30pm.

It’s Queen City Weekend in Poughkeepsie – hear a reading from our local published artists at the Mid-Hudson Heritage Center on Saturday – other events can be seen here.

We invite all of you to the opening reception of the Unexpected Path II Saturday night,5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Arts Mid-Hudson gallery. This summer vacation exhibit will be accompanied by travelogues, artists’ talks, and a special performance on opening night by Anna Mayta – come and experience the creative vision of some of our region’s finest artists.

If you missed Serena’s big win at Wimbledon last week you can relive the glory in the Power House performance of the Last Match this weekend – we hear there are still ticketsavailable!

2015 DUTCHESS DRAGON BOAT
RACES AND FESTIVAL

The dragons are coming July 25th to the Hudson River in Poughkeepsie. The Asian Cultural Festival adds to the excitement for the day featuring live music, cultural arts demonstrations, arts and artisans, and food vendors as the dragon boat races along the river. Master Kwan will perform his exciting Lion Dance as the race winners parade across the festival grounds. 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at theHudson River Rowing Association Boathouse.
