Town of Hyde Park man arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance

07/07/15 – The New York State Police – Highland BCI announce the arrest of 32 year old, Joel M. Kaiser, of Hyde Park, NY, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree, a class C Felony, and for the violation of Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.
On 07/07/15, SP Highland patrols conducted a vehicle and traffic stop on State Route 9W in the Town of Esopus. Through roadside interviews and investigation, the vehicle’s back seat passenger, Joel M. Kaiser, was found to possess a small quantity of marijuana and PCP (Phencyclidine – a controlled substance) on his person.
Kaiser was arraigned before Judge Grieco in the Town of Esopus Court on 07/07/15 and was subsequently remanded to Ulster County Jail on $5,000 cash bail/ $10,000 bond. Kaiser was set re-appear in the Town of Esopus Court on 07/10/15 at 9am.
