Amenia Fire Company says Thank you

To the Editor:
In mid-June the Amenia Fire Company sponsored our Annual Carnival and Parade, one of our most important fund-raisers of the year. The entire operation would not be possible without the help of our neighboring fire departments, who supplied helpers and generously loaned us equipment for carnival set-up. We thank the Town of Amenia for their assistance, and we appreciate the patience of our neighbors Judge Manning, Ducillo Construction and Blueberry Hill Galleries during the week. Thanks also to Jim Devine for the sound system and Jack’s Auto for the reviewing stand. Our raffle was a success due to the generosity of Reardon Briggs, Peggy McEnroe, Conklin’s Garage and Elizabeth Stossel. Local newspapers and radio were a great help with publicity, thanks so much! Finally, we appreciate everyone coming out to watch the parade and support our carnival. Thanks to all (and our apologies to anyone that we may have overlooked), and we will see you next year!

Sincerely Yours,
Andy Murphy, on behalf of
The Amenia Fire Company and Auxiliary
