Carmel woman arrested for DWI under Leandra’s Law

PRESS RELEASE
Hyde Park, New York – On June 7, 2015, New York State Police from the Rhinebeck barracks arrested Caitlin M. Michell, 25 years old, of Carmel, New York, for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated under Leandra’s Law, a Class E Felony.Troopers were dispatched to the Hyde Park Recreational Park located on Creek Road for an EMS call.  While Troopers interviewed the driver of the vehicle, identified as Michell, they observed clues that indicated she was impaired by drugs.

A State Police Drug Recognition Expert evaluated Michell at the Rhinebeck barracks.  Michell was charged with Felony Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs due to a previous DWI related conviction in 2013 and for having a child passenger under the age of 16.

Michell was arraigned before the Town of Hyde Park Court and released on her own recognizance.  Michell is due to re-appear before the Town of Hyde Park Court on
June 25, 2015 at 6:30 p.m.
