Hudson man charged with possession of stolen property

PRESS RELEASE
Claverack, New York – New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Livingston barracks arrested Crawford F. Spateholts, 50 years old, of Hudson, New York, for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd Degree, a
Class D Felony.Troopers patrolling State Route 9H in a License Plate Reader (LPR) equipped vehicle received a “hit” notification for a possible stolen vehicle.  Troopers stopped the Chevy Cruz in the Agway parking lot and interviewed the occupants of the vehicle.

An investigation revealed that the vehicle, owned by Enterprise Rental Car, was reported stolen to the Glenville Police Department.

Spateholts was arraigned before the Town of Claverack Court and released on his own recognizance.  He is due to return to Claverack Court on June 9, 2015 at
7:00 p.m.

The State Police were assisted by the Glenville Police Department.
