Beekman resident arrested for Criminal Sale of a Firearm

 

 

Two Dutchess County residents charged following gun sale investigation

Beekman, New York – On June 4, 2015, New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested Bridget E. Selage, 17 years old, of Beekman, New York, for Criminal Sale of a Firearm 3rd Degree, a Class D Felony and Grand Larceny 4th Degree, a Class E Felony.On June 4, 2015, Troopers were contacted by a Beekman woman who reported that a family member had stolen a .38 Smith and Wesson revolver from her and sold it to an East Fishkill man.  Investigation revealed that Selage had taken the firearm and sold it to 47-year-old Erik C. Dietrich, of East Fishkill.

Dietrich was charged with Criminal Purchase of a Weapon and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree, both Class D Felonies.  Dietrich is not permitted to possess a firearm because he was previously convicted of a crime.

Selage was arraigned before the Town of Beekman Court and released on her own recognizance.  She is scheduled to re-appear in the Town of Beekman Court on
June 11, 2015.

Dietrich was arraigned before the Town of Beekman Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.  He is scheduled to re-appear before the Town of Beekman Court on June 11, 2015.
