Visitors flying in and out of the Dutchess County Airport will now have access to information about all things Dutchess. Dutchess County Tourism celebrated its newest tourism information center location with a Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting this morning.     The tourism center, located inside the airport terminal, provides visitors to the airport with an abundant amount of information about local vendors, hiking and biking trails, eateries, historical sites, and so much more.

Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro said, “The Dutchess County Airport is an important hub for corporate flight activity and recreational aviation enthusiasts.   The new Dutchess County Tourism information center is a great resource for people coming through the airport, whether they are here for a business meeting or spending a weekend.”

Approximately 73,000 aircrafts land or depart from the Dutchess County Airport each year. As of January 1, 2015, there were 19,807 flights into the airport. Last year, 489 corporate flights flew into the airport and 190 separate transient flights utilized the airport.   The airport has an annual economic impact of nearly $45 million for the local economy.

The Dutchess County Airport is one of 20 Dutchess County Tourism information centers locations available throughout the county, offering both visitors and residents a sample of all there is to see and do in Dutchess County.
