State Police at Liberty Arrest Man for Using Local Engineer’s Credentials

On June 4, 2015 State Police at Liberty arrested WILLIAM SATTLER, age 55 of Mountaindale for using the engineering credentials of a local engineer to certify building plans for several individuals in Sullivan County. Sattler produced building plans for a price and then used the certified engineer’s seal without permission. The crimes are alleged to have occurred between April of 2013 and December 2014.
Sattler was charged with Grand Larceny 3rd degree, a felony. He was arraigned in the Town of Liberty Court and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $25,000 bond.
