17-Year-old charged with making bomb threat at Columbia Secure Center for Girls

PRESS RELEASE
Claverack, New York – On June 2, 2015, at approximately 7:44 p.m., New York State Police at Livingston responded to the Columbia Girls Secure Center, a New York State Office of Children and Family Services facility, located on Spook Rock Road in the Town of Claverack for a reported bomb threat.Investigation determined that 17-year-old Dorothy E. Guadalupe, a resident at the facility, falsely reported the incident.  State Police conducted a search of the facility with the assistance of K9 Juna and nothing suspicious was located.

Guadalupe was arrested and charged with Falsely Reporting an Incident 1st Degree, a Class “D” Felony.  She was arraigned before the Town of Claverack Justice Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.


Canine Juna is a 4-year-old German Shepard trained in Explosive Detection and Tracking.
