State Police Investigate Fatal Hang Glider Accident

PRESS RELEASE

 New York State Police in Ellenville are investigating a fatal hang glider accident that occurred on Sunday, May 17,2015 at approximately 6:08 PM.

Scott Trueblood, 44 of Shelton, CT  was hang gliding near the State Route 52 overlook in the Town of Wawarsing when he struck the the moutainside.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.  Trueblood was a newly license pilot with the Ellenville Flight School.

The cause of the accident is still pending investigation.

The New York State Police was assisted by Ellenville Police Department, Ellenville Fire Department,  Ellenville EMS  and Cragsmoore EMS.
