Dover, New York – On May 15, 2015, New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Dover barracks arrested Gina M. Nelson, 37 years old, of Dover, New York, for Criminal Contempt 1st Degree, a Class E Felony.On May 15, 2015, Troopers interviewed a Dover woman reporting an order of protection violation.  Following an investigation into the alleged incident, it was discovered that Nelson had sent the victim approximately 70 unwanted text messages which caused the victim to be fearful for her safety, violating a valid court order of protection.

Nelson was arraigned before the Town of Dover Justice Court.  Town Justice Fusco ordered that Nelson be remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
