Evelyn Ruth Davis, 96, a long-time resident of Pawling, NY, passed away Monday, April 10, 2023 at Maplewood Senior Living under the care of Regional Hospice of Danbury in Danbury, CT.
Born in Carmel, NY on February 10, 1927, she was one of three children of the late William and Florence (Carey) Sutter. On August 7, 1949, she married Charles Davis in Ludingtonville, NY; he predeceases her.
Evelyn was a supervisor for AT & T in Carmel before her retirement.
She is survived by her three sons, Robert & wife Bonnie of Danbury, CT, Douglas of Hopewell Junction, NY, and Richard of Pawling, NY; four grandchildren, Terri Sheehan and husband Pete of Wolcott, CT, Glenn Davis of Danbury, CT, Lauren Ventosa and husband John of Spackenkill, NY, and Casey Mastronardi and husband Michael of Hopewell Junction, NY; seven great-grandchildren, Kyle, Alison, Ryan, Olivia, Lucia, Alessia, and Marco; and her niece Doreen Arconti and husband David of Danbury.
In addition to her husband and parents, Evelyn is predeceased by her two brothers, William Sutter, Jr and Robert Sutter.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, April 13th from 9-10 AM at the Horn & Thomes, Inc Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling with a service following at 10:30 AM at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Memory of Evelyn may be made to Regional Hospice of Danbury.
