Cairo man arrested for sexually abusing a child

PRESS RELEASE
On 04/28/15, New York State Police at Catskill arrested CHRISTOPHER W. WHEELER, age 43 , of Cairo, NY. WHEELER was arrested as the result of an investigation with the Greene County Child Protection Services. Investigation indicates that WHEELER sexually abused a 13 year old female child with whom he is familiar. WHEELER was charged with Sexual Abuse in the Second Degree, a class A Misdemeanor and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, also a class A Misdemeanor.
WHEELER was arraigned before Town Justice Miller in the Town of Cairo Court and was remanded to the Greene County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
WHEELER has a return date of 5/04/15 at the Town of Cairo Court at 2:00 pm.
