Bronx man arrested following accident investigation

PRESS RELEASE

Yonkers, New York – On April 28, 2015, the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Hawthorne barracks arrested Farion A. Daley, age 25, of Bronx, New York, for Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Reckless Endangerment 2nd Degree and Reckless Driving, all Misdemeanors.

The arrest is the result of a lengthy investigation into a motor vehicle collision that occurred on November 26, 2013 on the Sprain Brook Parkway. Daley, while traveling northbound on the parkway at an excessive speed, lost control of his 2005 Nissan Altima and subsequently stuck a tree. Daley’s one year old daughter, Aniyah Daley, a rear seat passenger, died as a result of the crash.

The investigation was conducted in conjunction with the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office.

Daley was arraigned in the City of Yonkers Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail. He is scheduled to return to Yonkers Court on May 12, 2015.
