State Police at Liberty Arrest Sex Offender for Registry Violation

On April 23rd, 2015 State Police at Liberty arrested a registered sex offender for failing to register internet usage with the NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services. Ricky Gorr, age 51 of Grahamsville is a Level 2 sex offender and required to register his address, place of employment and certain internet activities. An investigation by State Police determined that Gorr maintained Facebook accounts under two different names, neither of which were registered as required.
Gorr was charged with Failure to Register or Verify as a Sex Offender under the New York State Corrections Law, a class E Felony. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable in the Town of Neversink Court and released.
