PRESS RELEASE

On April 24, 2015, Troopers from the State Police based in Middletown responded to the Lowe’s department store located at 700 North Galleria Drive in the Town of Wallkill for a report of a Lowe’s manager who had been sprayed with a self-defense spray after two subjects had entered the store and attempted to complete a store return without having a receipt for the items.

The investigation revealed that Corey T. Mansfield, age 21 of 2202 Whispering Hills Drive Chester, NY and Dylan J. After the incident, both Mansfield and Burger exited the store and attempted to elude capture by removing the license plates on a vehicle registered to Dylan J. Burger prior to their departure from the Lowe’s parking lot in Burger’s vehicle.

Corey Mansfield was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, Possession of a Controlled Substance in Non-Original Container, Conspiracy 5th degree, Disorderly Conduct, and Harassment 2nd degree.

Dylan J. Burger was arrested and charged for Conspiracy 5th degree and Harassment 2nd degree. Both Corey Mansfield and Dylan Burger were arraigned in the Town of Wallkill Court before Judge Peter Green. Mansfield was remanded to the custody of the Orange County Sheriff in lieu of $20,000 cash or $20,000 bond. Burger was remanded to the custody of the Orange County Sheriff in lieu of $500 cash or $1000 bond. Both subjects are scheduled to reappear in the Town of Wallkill Court on April 29, 2015 at 9:00am.
