Philipstown Woman Charged With Falsely Reporting Incident
Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports the arrest of a Philipstown woman on a charge of falsely reporting an incident.
On April 15, 2015 at approximately 1:00 p.m., Deputy Sheriff Matthew Monroe responded to a complaint by the North Highlands Fire Department of a false fire alarm activation at 345 Route 301in the Town of Philipstown. Upon investigation, the deputy determined that Daisy Reyes, 54, of that address had deliberately and falsely activated the alarm. The deputy arrested Ms. Reyes and charged her with Falsely Reporting an Incident, a misdemeanor. The defendant was processed at the Putnam County Correctional Facility and held pending arraignment.
If found guilty of the misdemeanor charge, the defendant could face up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $1,000.00.
