1. Today is a “B” Day.

2. Attention all high school students! There are only 40 Yearbooks left. See Ms. Wool to reserve your copy today. They are $65 until May 1st then they will be $70.

3. Spring sports pictures will be taken this Friday, April 24th at 2 pm. Bring your uniforms!

4. Community Service Opportunity: Volunteers are needed for the J.H.K. Auxiliary Spaghetti Dinner on April 25th at 4:30 and 6 pm. Stop by the community service office for more information.

5. The floor hockey tournament has been cancelled due to lack of student interest.

6. The Dover Music Boosters will be hosting a “Family comedy Night” Saturday, April 25th at 7 pm at Dover High School. Come join the fun with Hypnotist, Hypno Lorenzo and comedian, Ronnie Reed. Advance ticket sales $10 or $15 at the door. Tickets will be on sale during lunch periods on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

7. Today’s Alcohol Awareness theme is: Hats off to Alcohol, hope everyone’s wearing their favorite hat!! Fact of the day is: The 3 leading causes of death for 15 to 24-year-olds are automobile crashes, homicides and suicides – alcohol is a leading factor in all 3. Tomorrow’s theme is: Team up against alcohol, wear your favorite team jersey!

8. Our school is participating in what is called Bonnie Boxes to help cancer patients. Please donate little things like accessories, fuzzy socks and fun games, etc., by May 9th. Together we can give them strength to fight on. Bring the items to Ms. Murray’s room 1043 or to the high school main office.

9. SAT Word of the Day – EMPHATIC – forcibly expressive

10. Today Varsity Baseball will be playing Onteora at Dutchess Stadium. Please come out and see the team play at a professional facility. It will be a fun day. Game time is 4:15 pm.

11. Attention all Middle School Students – Don’t forget Spirit Week is coming soon! Monday, April 27th is Twin Day, Tuesday, April 28th is Pajama Day, Wednesday, April 29th is Movie Character Day, Thursday, April 30th is Crazy Hair Day and finally on Friday, May 1st it’s 80’s Day. Prizes will be given at the end of the week to the students who have shown the most school spirit!

12. Attention all Juniors who have not yet purchased tickets for prom – we still need to sell a substantial amount of tickets before we can actually be able to go. Please remember to bring in money and buy your tickets before April 27th. Tickets will be sold outside the dining hall and in the main office.

13. Shrek rehearsal today will be from 2-5 pm. All dancers in Morning Person please stay after today for the full rehearsal today! We will meet on stage to review and finalize choreography.
