PEEKSKILL WOMAN ARRESTED FOR DRIVING WITH SUSPENDED LICENSE

Putnam County Sheriff Robert L. Langley Jr. reports the arrest of a Peekskill woman for driving with a suspended license. On April 8, 2019, at approximately 1:00 pm, Deputy Kevin Radovich observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation on State Route 9, in the Town of Philipstown. Deputy Radovich initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle. A computer check revealed that the vehicle’s driver, Ashley Johnston, age 25, of Peekskill, had a suspended New York State Driver’s License (Eleven Active Suspensions on Five Different Court Dates). Ms. Johnston was placed under arrest and transported to the Putnam County Correctional Facility for arrest processing. Ms. Johnston was processed and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the Second Degree (Misdemeanor). Ms. Johnston posted $250.00 bail and was released. She was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Philipstown Justice Court.
