This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for southern Litchfield County in northwestern Connecticut, the central and eastern Mohawk Valley, Capital Region, Saratoga Springs and Glens Falls areas, mid-Hudson Valley and southern Taconics of east central New York and the Connecticut River valley of southeastern Vermont.

.DAY ONE…Tonight.

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Friday through Wednesday.

Rain may change to snow for Friday into Friday night before ending by early Saturday. There is the potential for a light accumulation, especially across grassy and nonpaved surfaces. Locally slippery traveling and walking conditions are possible.

Also, strong west to northwest winds will be possible Friday night into Saturday. If confidence increases for frequent wind gusts in excess of 45 mph, then a wind advisory will be needed.

Rain. Low around 37. Southeast wind around 11 mph becoming northeast after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Friday

Rain likely, possibly mixed with snow before 11am, then a chance of rain. Cloudy, with a high near 42. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Friday Night

A chance of rain and snow before 11pm, then a chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 28. Breezy, with a west wind 16 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 37 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Saturday

Partly sunny, with a high near 38. Breezy, with a northwest wind 17 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 38 mph.
