State Police arrest Esopus woman for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated

PRESS RELEASE

Wappinger, New York – On April 1, 2015, New York State Police from the Wappinger barracks charged 48-year-old Susan A. Gleeson, of Esopus, New York, with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor.

Troopers were dispatched by Dutchess County 911 to the area of State Route 9 and Old Route 9 for a reported vehicle traveling northbound in the southbound lanes. The responding officer patrolled to the area of the Alpine Commons shopping plaza and located a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle issued to police.

The investigating Trooper interviewed the driver of vehicle, identified as Gleeson, and observed clues that indicated she was intoxicated at the time of the stop.

Gleeson provided a breath sample that revealed a Blood Alcohol Content of .25%, more than three times the legal limit of intoxication.

Gleeson was issued traffic tickets ordering her to appear before the Town of Wappinger Justice Court on April 9, 2015 at 6:00 p.m.
