PRESS RELEASE

Rhinebeck, New York – On April 2, 2015, New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Rhinebeck barracks arrested Kristen Zietz, 23 years old, of Rhinebeck, New York, for Burglary 2nd Degree, a Class C Felony, Grand Larceny 4th Degree, a Class E Felony, and Criminal Contempt 2nd Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.

On March 24, 2015, Troopers were dispatched by Dutchess County 911 to a Rhinebeck residence for a reported burglary that occurred during the overnight hours. Troopers conducted an investigation that revealed Zietz had entered a family member’s home and stole cash, a debit card, and prescription medication.

The victim was identified as the protected party in a court order of protection that prevented Zietz from having any contact with the family member. As a result of her unlawfully entering the protected parties home, she was charged with Criminal Contempt 2nd Degree.

Zietz was arraigned in the Town of Rhinebeck Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond. Zietz is schedule to return to the Town of Rhinebeck Court at a later date.
