Search warrants result in two arrests and seizure of drugs and cash

On April 2, 2015, following a month-long investigation into the sale of crack cocaine in the Town of Coxsackie, Catskill State Police executed search warrants on two locations.

The investigation, conducted with members of the Greene County District Attorney’s Office, Greene County Sheriff’s Office and Village of Coxsackie Police Department, resulted in the seizure of two ounces of crack cocaine, U.S. currency, scales, packaging and illegal edged weapons.

As a result of the search warrants issued by Greene County Court Judge Terry Wilhelm, the following subjects were charged:

Shaun Middlemiss, age 29, State Route 81, Coxsackie, NY, was charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree a Class B felony, and Criminal Possession of a weapon in the 3rd degree a Class D Felony. Middlemiss was arraigned before Town of Catskill Justice William Wooten and remanded to the Greene County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash, $100,000 bond.

Ursula Velazquez, age 25, Cedar Court, Coxsackie, NY, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree a Class B felony, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree a Class A Misdemeanor and Criminal use of Drug Paraphernalia in the second degree a Class A Misdemeanor. Vlazquez was arraigned before Town of Catskill Justice William Wooten and remanded to the Greene County jail in lieu of $5,000 cash, $10,000 bond.
