Obituary, Marilyn E. Rogers

Marilyn E. Rogers, 84, a former resident of Pawling, passed away Friday, November 9, 2018, at New York Presbyterian-Hudson Valley Hospital, Cortlandt Manor, NY.

Born in Flushing, NY on October 9, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ethel (Hagetter) Boesendahl and wife of the late Robert Rogers, Sr.

Before retiring, Marilyn was a telephone operator in the business office of Bell Atlantic, Hempstead, NY, which later became Verizon, and was one of the first members of the Telephone Pioneers of America.

Marilyn enjoyed going to the theatre and Broadway shows and going to the Berkshires during leaf season.

She is survived by her son Robert Jr and wife Rene of Pawling, and her daughter Laura Stagg and husband Brian of Mahopac; grandchildren Heather Meister and husband Frederick of Copenhagen, Denmark, Brian Rogers of Astoria, Queens, Erin Rogers of Pawling, Kira Cassaboon and husband Jamie of Beekman, and Keith Stagg of Mahopac; and two great-grandchildren, VesLemoy and Wolfgang Meister, also of Copenhagen.

 

Arrangements are under the direction of the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, NY.
