Two Brooklyn men arrested for possession of stolen credit cards and other charges

PRESS RELEASE

On March 30, 2015 a State Police patrol stopped vehicle for Vehicle and Traffic violations on State Route 23 in the Town of Catskill. During the interview of the operator an odor of marihuana was detected emanating from the vehicle. A small amount of marihuana was found in possession of both the operator, TYRELL JEFFERS, age 29 and the passenger, KENDALL J. GEORGE, age 25 both of Brooklyn, N.Y. GEORGE was also found in possession of four forged identification cards, five stolen credit cards and $27000.00 worth of gift cards that he had obtained using the stolen credit cards. GEORGE was charged with four counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2st degree(a Class D Felony) and five counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th degree (a class E Felony). JEFFERS was charged with Unlawful Possession of Marihuana and released. GEORGE was arraigned before Town Justice William Wooton and remanded to the Greene County jail with bail set at $2,500.00 cash bail or $5,000.00 bond.
