Accord Man charged with Cruelty to Animals

PRESS RELEASE

On March 27th, 2015, the members of the New York State Police, Troop F, at SP Ellenville, announce the arrest of a man for killing his girlfriend’s dog in the Town of Rochester N.Y.

Arrested was Michael A. Oramas, age 31, of Accord, New York who was charged with Cruelty to Animals a Misdemeanor.

The New York State Police conducted an investigation into a domestic dispute at 24 Rochester Center Rd Accord NY. Oramas and his girlfriend were arguing over the death of her eight year old Dotson dog. It was gleaned that the dog had been treated at a Veterinary Hospital in Kingston New York and found to have died from blunt force trauma injuries including broken ribs, punctured lung and broken mandible as well as other internal injuries. Oramas was home with the dog and when his girlfriend returned home she found the dog hurt and having trouble breathing.

Michael Oramas was arrested and processed at SP Ellenville. He was released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Rochester Court on April 8th, 2015 at 6:00pm.
