Connecticut man arrested for felony drug possession following a traffic stop on I-684

PRESS RELEASE

Southeast, New York – On May 1, 2018, the New York State Police from the Brewster barracks arrested Christopher P. Thai, age 27, of West Hartford, CT, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4th degree, a class C felony.

On May 1, 2018, at approximately 8:40 p.m., Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a 2007 Honda Civic on Interstate 684 in the town of Southeast for several violations of the vehicle and traffic law.  An investigation discovered approximately 1.51 grams of Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA).

Thai was arraigned before the town of Patterson Court and remanded to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $1,500 cash bail or $3,000 bond.  Thai is next scheduled to appear before the Southeast Court on May 17, 2018, at 1:00 p.m.
