Johnsville man arrested for theft in Greenport

PRESS RELEASE

Greenport, New York – On May 2, 2018, the New York State Police from Livingston barracks arrested Michael G. Peterson, age 47, of Saint Johnsville, NY, for Falsifying Business Records in the 1st degree, a class E felony, and Petit Larceny, a class A misdemeanor.

A joint investigation between Investigators from SP Herkimer and SP Livingston which began in March of 2018, led to the discovery of Peterson using false barcodes to steal merchandise from a local business in Greenport.

Peterson was arraigned before the town of Greenport Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail without bail.
