Fallsburg Man arrested for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated

On March 29, 2018, State Police at Liberty charged Zachary A. Jonas, 25, of Fallsburg with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated. While on patrol, Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a black Pontiac for inadequate exhaust, speed in zone and moving from lane unsafely on Sullivan Avenue in the Town of Liberty. While interviewing Jonas, an odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath. Jonas was placed under arrest and transported to SP Liberty. At SP Liberty, Jonas provided a breath sample showing a .20% blood alcohol concentration. Jonas was processed without incident and released to a sober third party. Jonas is scheduled to appear in the Town of Liberty Court on April 4, 2018, at 2:00 pm.
