New York City Man arrested for Possession of Drugs

On March 29, 2018, State Police at Liberty charged Laderius D. Allen, 30, of New York City with Criminal Possession of Marihuana 4^th (class A Misdemeanor) and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7^th (class A Misdemeanor). While on patrol, Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a grey Nissan Altima for operating with no headlights on in inclement weather on State Route 17 in the Town of Thompson. While interviewing Allen, a strong odor of marihuana was emanating from the vehicle. Upon conducting a vehicle search, approximately 103.5 grams of marihuana and multiple pills identified as Ecstasy were located and seized. Allen was placed under arrest and transported to SP Liberty and processed without incident. Station bail in the amount of $500.00 was secured from Allen and he was released with Appearance Tickets. Allen is scheduled to appear in the Town of Thompson Court on April 18, 2018, at 5:00 pm.
