Five men arrested on drug and weapon charges

    
PRESS RELEASE 

On February 21, 2018, the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET) in conjunction with the City of Newburgh Police Department conducted a narcotics investigation which resulted in the execution of a search warrant at 222 Broadway, Apartment 15, Newburgh, NY.

The search warrant resulted in the seizure of a loaded .22 caliber semi-automatic handgun, approximately 78.5 grams of cocaine, 151 bags of heroin, numerous pills, approximately $8,400 in cash and drug packaging materials.

The following subjects were arrested for the indicated charges:

Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2^nd, Class C Felony
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7^th, Class A Misdemeanor

ANTHONY S. DALEY, age 38, New Paltz, NY
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3^rd, Class B Felony
Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2^nd, Class C Felony
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7^th, Class A Misdemeanor

PAUL J. VEGA, age 23, Newburgh, NY
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3^rd, Class B Felony
Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2^nd, Class C Felony
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7^th, Class A Misdemeanor

AHQUAN J. STEVENSON, age 29, Newburgh, NY

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7^th, Class A Misdemeanor

KEITH A. DAVIS, age 60, Newburgh, NY
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3^rd, Class B Felony
Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2^nd, Class C Felony
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7^th, Class A Misdemeanor

All subjects were arraigned before City of Newburgh Justice Peter Kulkin.

Mayshack, Davis and Stevenson were remanded to Orange County Jail without bail.

Daley and Vega were remanded to Orange County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash or $100,000 secured bond.
