Poughkeepsie, New York – On January 26, 2018, the New York State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested Matthew L. Minnow, age 38, of Red Hook, NY, for two counts of Forgery in the 2nd degree, and two counts of Possession of a Forged Instrument in the 2nd degree, all class D felonies.

On January 26, 2018, at approximately 3:05 a.m., Troopers conducted a traffic stop on Route 9 in the village of Fishkill.  During the stop, Troopers noticed the license plate appeared to be forged.  An investigation found the vehicle given out as a loaner from Minnow Motors in Poughkeepsie.  Further investigation determined Minnow had forged two dealer plates in order to place additional vehicles on the road with the same registration.

Minnow was arraigned before the city of Poughkeepsie Court and released on his own recognizance.  Minnow is next scheduled to appear before the town of Poughkeepsie Court on January 31, 2018 at 4:00 p.m., and the city of Poughkeepsie Court on February 7, 2018, at 9:00 a.m.
