Lagrange woman arrested for identity theft and grand larceny

Lagrange, New York – On January 9, 2018 the New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested Laura Quinn, age 46, of Lagrange, for Identity Theft in the 1st degree, and Grand Larceny in the 3rd degree, both class D felonies and one count of Attempted Identity Theft In the 1st degree, a class E felony.
Troopers received a complaint in November of 2017 of fraudulent credit cards being opened and used in the victim’s name. After a two-month investigation Quinn was found to have opened the accounts and made purchases totaling in excess of $30,000.
Quinn was arraigned before the town of Lagrange Court and released on her own recognizance. Quinn is next scheduled to appear before the court on January 16, 2018, at 5:00 p.m.
