State Police arrest heroin dealer in Greene County

On September 20, 2017, the New York State Police arrested George Higgins, age 53 for Two Counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree, a Class B Felony and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree, also a Class B Felony.

This arrest stems from a seven month long investigation into the sale and use of heroin in the Greene County area by the New York State Police and the Greene County District Attorney’s Office. The State Police was assisted throughout this investigation by the
Greene County Sheriff’s Office. Higgins was arraigned on the indictment in Greene County Court and the subject was remanded to the Greene County Jail in lieu of $25,000.00 cash or a $50,000.00 bond.
