SP Cortlandt – Cortlandt man arrested for Menacing and Criminal Possession of a weapon

Cortlandt, New York – On September 19, 2017, Troopers from the Cortlandt barracks arrested Douglas L. Hovasapian, age 45, of Cortlandt for Menacing with a Weapon in the 2^nd Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4^thDegree, a Class A Misdemeanor following a domestic incident.

State Troopers responded to Arlington Court in the Town of Cortlandt for a domestic dispute involving a knife.  Upon arrival to the scene Troopers found both parties involved intoxicated and suffering from minor wounds.  Investigation concluded through interviews and physical evidence, that Hovasapian had menaced the victim with both a screwdriver and a knife.
