Gertrude M. Oswald, 92, passed away at her home in Poughquag, NY on September 5, 2017.
Born in New York City on February 9, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Thomas V. and Rose (Dunphy) Boland, and wife of the late Gerald P. Oswald, who predeceased her on April 20, 2016.
A resident of Poughquag for over 20 years, she was a communicant of St. Denis Church, Hopewell Junction, and the church’s Helping Hands.
She is survived by her two sons, Stephen Oswald of Brooklyn and James Lambert-Oswald, and his wife, Kathleen, of Baker, LA; her daughter, Jeanne Oswald of Port Chester, NY; four grandsons, Stephen, Alexander, Nicholas, and Peter Lambert-Oswald; and four great-grandchildren, Catalina, James, Rosella, and Ada Lucille Lambert-Oswald.
Family and friends may call at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, Sunday, September 10th from 4-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 AM at St. Denis Church, Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction, NY; burial will follow in St. Denis Cemetery.
