Poughkeepsie man charged with CPCS 5th

PRESS RELEASE

The New York State Police at Ellenville announce the arrest a 33 year old man from Poughkeepsie for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th a Felony, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th a Misdemeanor and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana a Violation.

On March 10, 2017 the NYSP at SP Ellenville conducted a vehicle and traffic stop on State Route 32 in the Town of Ulster, while assigned to a DWI Enforcement Detail.

Upon interviewing the operator of this vehicle an odor of marijuana was detected and all occupants of the vehicle were directed to exit the vehicle.

Further investigation, through interviews with the occupants of the vehicle determined the front seat passenger, Germaine H. Lowe had in his possession approximately three grams of cocaine, approximately three grams of heroin, approximately five grams of marijuana and $10,320.00 in United States Currency.

Germaine H. Lowe was processed for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. Diaz was arraigned in front of Town Justice Marsha Weiss in the Town of Ulster Court, where he was remanded to the Ulster County Jail on No Bail. Lowe is due back in the Town of Ulster Court on March 14, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.
