Three People Arrested on Thruway in the Town of Newburgh

Woodbury, NY – On March 9, 2017, at approximately 1:10 a.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87 for multiple traffic violations. The driver of the vehicle, Shawn Graham, 45, of S. Glens Falls, NY, was found to be driving on a suspended license. The front seat passenger was later identified as, Nathaniel Grady, 33, of Brooklyn, NY, after he provided a fake name. He was found to be in possession of marijuana and is wanted as a Parole Absconder. The back seat passenger, Cherie A. Larich, 60, of Queensbury, NY, was found to be in possession of 101 grams of cocaine. All 3 subjects were taken into custody, transported and processed at SP Newburgh.
Graham was subsequently charged with:
- Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 2nd Degree; a Misdemeanor
- Multiple Vehicle and Traffic Violations
Grady was subsequently charged with:
- Criminal Impersonation in the 2nd Degree; a Class A Misdemeanor
- Unlawful Possession of Marijuana; a Violation
- Parole Absconding; a Class E Felony
Larich was subsequently charged with:
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree; a Class B Felony
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree: Intent to Sell; a Class B Felony
