Patterson Accident

 

At approximately 4:40 PM on Friday, February 17, 2017, there was a two car accident on the southbound side of Route 22, just south of Route 164. A black pickup truck struck the front driver side of a car.

The Patterson Fire Department ambulance arrived quickly on scene and confirmed that there was a person trapped in the passenger car. Assistant Chief Joey Nickischer from the Patterson Fire Department arrived on scene and coordinated the responding Patterson Fire Fighters on the Heavy Rescue apparatus to assist on the scene. The Putnam Lake and Brewster Fire Departments were also dispatched for additional assistance.

Traffic was held up intermittently in both directions as the rescue and cleanup was undertaken.

Ambulances removed the patients to area trauma centers for evaluation and treatment of the injured occupants.
