Amenia – Ernest F. Rassman of Amenia NY died peacefully at his home on February 12th 2017, at the age of 91.
Born May 12th 1925, the son of Charlotte Rassman. He served in the U.S. Navy with Pacific Fleet during World War II. He was employed with Central Hudson as a lineman for 58 years, retiring at the age of 80 earning the nickname “The Legend.”
Ernest is survived by his wife Sara Rassman, his son Gerald Rassman and his wife Joyce, his daughter Linda Sawchuk and her husband John, three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Although the summation of his life seems short, he will live forever in our hearts and the power lines that dot our country side. All services are private.
