Obituary, Paul Anthony Mancuso

 

 

Paul Anthony Mancuso passed away Friday February 3 at the age of 66 in his home in Mesa, Arizona, surrounded by his loving family.

Paul was born May 18th, 1950 to the late Eva and Anthony Mancuso in Carbondale, Pa. The family relocated to Pawling, NY where he spent most of his life.  He played football for Pawling High School where his team was recently inducted into the Pawling High School Athletic Hall of Fame. He was a member of the Pawling High School class of ’68.

Paul married Janice Rutledge in 1970 and settled down in Pawling where they raised their family before relocating to AZ in 1991.  Paul was a member of the Pawling Lions Club, served as a Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus and spent time on the Pawling School Board. He worked for many years as a meat cutter for Finest and the Pawling AG Market.  In Mesa, AZ, he worked for Fry’s as a meat manager for 23 years before his retirement. Paul enjoyed watching football, especially the New York Giants and the Arizona Cardinals, traveling and spending time with his family. Anyone who knew Paul, knows how his smile could light up a room and he would lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. He was a devoted family man, husband and friend.  

Paul is survived by his wife Janice, children Sara (Kyle Peavler), Mike (Kristin) and MaryEllen; his grandchildren: Andrew, Aidan, Anthony, Dominic and Angela. Paul is also survived by his sister Sarah “Sally” Syniec and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister Roseann and brother in law Joseph Gilletti.  Heaven has gained an angel of kindness, laughter and love.

Services will be held on Saturday February 11, 2017 at 11a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mesa, Az. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network or the charity of your choice.
