Yonkers Man Arrested for possessing stolen copper wire

PRESS RELEASE
Greenburgh, New York – On January 14, 2017, New York State Police from the Hawthorne Barracks arrested Nicholas Mpounas, age 67, of Yonkers, NY, for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th Degree (Felony).Mpounas was pulled over for a traffic violation on the Sprain Brook Parkway in the Town of Greenburgh, and was found to possess over 500 lbs of copper cable wire in his vehicle.  The copper cable wire was owned by Con Edison and Mpounas did not have permission to possess the wire.

Mpounas was released with an appearance ticket directing him to return to the Town of Greenburgh Court on 1/27/2017 at 9:30 am.
