Rotary District Governor Visits The Pawling Rotary Club

Rotary District 7210 Governor, Louis Turpin was the guest of honor at the November 1st regular Pawling Rotary Club meeting at the Lathrop Center in Lakeside Park in Pawling.  Also in attendance was Rotary Assistant District 7210 Governor, Jenny Hinsman.


Mr. Turpin spoke enthusiastically to club membership about leadership and teamwork, as well as the importance of setting club goal and achieving success. Additionally, he spoke about those things that sets Rotary International apart from other service organizations, with emphasis on Disease prevention and maternal and child health.  He discussed Rotary International’s focus on improvements in the delivery of clean water and sanitation to third world nations, expansion of educational opportunity world wide, promotion of economic development as a way of combating  poverty and finally, Rotary’s concentration on peace and international conflict resolution.

 
Mr. Turpin also took the opportunity to induct Pawling Rotary’s newest member, Brian Avery, who is the Library Director at the Pawling Free Library.
