Obituary, William R. Clum

Ancramdale, NY – William R. Clum, 94, a life-long area resident, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Sharon Hospital in Sharon, CT.

He was born on December 29, 1921 in Pine Plains, NY the son of the late Ellsworth and Nina (Turbarg) Clum.

Bill was a dairy farmer all his life working the local area.

He was a lifelong member of the Copake Fire Company.

On January 29, 1949 in Copake, NY he married Jeannette (Pulver) Clum. She predeceased him on October 14, 1987.

Survivors include a daughter, Melissa Clum of Ancramdale, NY; a son, William C. Clum of Ancramdale, NY; a sister, Marion E. Westfall of Gallatin, NY; sister-in-law, Margurite Brusie and several nieces and newphews.

He was predeceased by a brother and sister-in-law, Alden and Beulah Clum, a sister and brother-in-law, Nina and Earl Eighmie, three brother-in-law’s, Howard Brusie Sr., Kenneth Pulver, Benjamin Westfall, three nephews, Howard Brusie Jr., Douglas and Raymond Westfall, two nieces, Betty Ann King, Jennifer Clum.

There are no calling hours.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at Copake Cemetery with Pastor William Mayhew officiating.
