Troopers stop car on the Taconic State Parkway and arrest three New York City residents

East Fishkill, New York – On October 16, 2016, New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Wappinger barracks arrested Sygamora Boykin, age 21, of the Bronx, New York, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3^rd Degree, a Class B Felony, and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, a violation.  Additionally, Dakhai A. Carr, age 19, of Brooklyn, New York, was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2^nd Degree, a Class C Felony and Yvonne Dennis, age 38, of the Bronx, New York, was arrested for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the Third Degree, a Misdemeanor.

On October 16, 2016, at about 1:55 a.m., Troopers stopped an Acura for erratic operation on the Taconic State Parkway in the Town of East Fishkill. The driver of the vehicle, Yvonne Dennis, was found to have suspended driving privileges and was charged accordingly. Dennis was issued an Appearance Ticket directing her to appear in the Town of East Fishkill Court on October 26, 2016.

Boykin, a passenger traveling in the vehicle, was found to be in possession of crack-cocaine and marijuana. Another passenger traveling in the vehicle, Dakhai Carr, was found to unlawfully possession of a loaded .22 caliber revolver.

Carr and Boykin were arraigned at the Town of East Fishkill Court. Carr was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond. Boykin was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond. The defendants are due to appear in the Town of East Fishkill Court on October 21, 2016, at 8:30 a.m.  Dennis was issued an Appearance Ticket directing her to appear in the Town of East Fishkill Court on October 26, 2016.
